Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, I started in the Horticulture Industry at the age of 19. Following a passion for all things outdoors I started my first Turf Management and Landscaping business in 1999. Known for honesty and hard work, it quickly established a niche market in the Perth. Our primary focus was commercial turf and Landscape management. In 2008 I started my second business moving away from the commercial side of Turf Management & Landscaping and focusing on Residential Landscape Construction.

Always believing in further education and wanting to understand the science behind horticulture I studied at Challenger Institute of Technology completing 3 year Journeyman Level Courses in Fine Turf Management and Landscape Construction. I also studied Commercial Irrigation and Commercial Pesticide Safety & Application (Greenskeeper).

I moved to Canada in 2009 and settled with my wife and family in St Albert. In 2010 Modern Earth Landscaping Ltd was established. It continues to grow and capture the essence of the Canadian way of life and love for the summer.

Current Australian Trade Level Qualifications include:

• Certificate II & III in Horticulture (Fine Turf Management) – Journeyman Equivalent Qualification
• Certificate II & III in Horticulture (Landscape Construction) – Journeyman Equivalent Qualification
• Certificate in Pesticide Safety (Qualified Broad Hectare Spray Operator from 2002 –2009, Operator License #4765)
